Events of the week 21st-27th of May 2018

Between the 21st and the 25th of May 2018, at Toplița „George Sbârcea” Town Library there will be a book exhibition on the occasion of 95 years since the birth of Ion Caraion and 20 years since the death of  Ștefan Bănulescu. Organiser: Toplița „George Sbârcea” Town Library.

On Monday, the 21st of May 2018, at Toplița „George Sbârcea” Town Library the start of a a new reading contest entitled „Battle of the books” will take place, unfolding between May and October 2018.   Children aged between 11 and 13, teenagers aged between 14 and 18 and adults may enrol in all sections and subsidiaries, throughout the duration of the contest.  The final will take place on 30th of October 2018. Organisers: Toplița „George Sbârcea” Town Library, Cluj County Council, Cluj „Octavian Goga”  County Library and A.N.B.P.R.

On Wednesday, the 23rd of May 2018, at Toplița „George Sbârcea” Town Library the activity entitled „The public library for school children”. Organiser: Toplița „George Sbârcea” Town Library.

On Sunday, the 27th of May 2018, at Corbu people will celebrate the Day of Corbu Commune. Compact, Margareta Clipa, Ioan Dordoi, Margareta Sigheartău, Cristina Blaga, Ciprian Ilie, Nelu Șopterean, Răzvan Pop as well as other guests will be participating. Organisers: Corbu Commune and Corbu Local Council.

On Sunday, the 27th of May 2018, at Sărmaș there will be a folkloric show on the occasion of the Day of Sărmaș Commune. Organisers: Sărmaș Commune and Sărmaș Local Council.

On Sunday, the 27th of May 2018, from 10 AM, at Urmanczy Castle from Toplița the event PIKNIK – the Open Castles Week will be held, an event within the „Private Heritage Week”  by the European Historic Houses of Bruxelles. In the programme: Din program: face painting,  outdoor games: giant colouring books, soap bubbles, petting zoo – lambs, goatlings and rabbits, pantomime show and puppet show for children, from 12.30 PM – a guided tour of the castle in Hungarian, from 1 PM – family picnic with home made food, then creative workshops: stone painting, beading, quilling, treasure hunting, and from 3 PM – a guided tour of the castle in Romanian and skill games. Organisers: the Castle in Transilvania Coalition and Mozaique Association.

Every week, from Tuesday till Friday, between 8 and 12 AM, you may visit the Commune Museum from Tulgheș.

 

Every Thursday there will be a sitted evening for children at the Commune Museum from Tulgheș.
